A MEETING OF PRODUCERS AND CONSUMERS OF CULINARY DELICACIES
16/17/18/19 JUNE 2015 IN TORRIANA, ITALY
Key players and constantly-evolving ideas.
Exploration, inspiration, games, sharing and fun. This is Spessore.
A unique, unrepeatable cross-section of young, modern Italian chefs invited to put their skills on display to the cheers of an audience.
Started three years ago, Spessore charms with its simplicity. A distillation of the highest quality products, the event proves that good things come in small packages, with the finest ingredients transformed by expert hands and enjoyed by appreciative palates.
Spessore is four nights of cheer around the tables of Povero Diavolo, from 16-19 June.
The first evening is dedicated to the Italian region of Marches and its food and wine stars: Moreno Cedroni, Michele Biagiola, Mauro Uliassi, Matteo Broccoli and Stefano Antonucci with his Santa Barbara wines.
Then, from 17-19 June, there’s no set menu. Each night will be a cooking marathon full of surprises, with nine cooks preparing dozens and dozens of delicious dishes that will appear in continuous succession, crafted by multiple hands ‘choreographed’ by Piergiorgio and the team at Povero Diavolo. All dinners will be casual and limitless, for both food and wine – and what a wine selection it will be, with the best from all the guest producers. Tastings will include: mortadella from Federico Orsi Valsamoggia, Parmigiano Reggiano from its protecting consortium, mozzarella from the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO consortium, pasta from the fields of Gragnano and flour from Molino Quaglia will be featured in the chefs’ dishes, beer brewed by Baladin, espresso from Leonardo Lelli and so much more, set to the sounds of live world, jazz and soul music.
