ETHIOPIA – Travelling in the mother land of coffee

Coming back at origins!

Ethiopia and the Region of Sidamo in particular is the mother land of coffee, where it was born.

An espresso coffee cup from Sidamo shocked me and let me fall in love “at first sip” so deeply that I started my own journey as coffee roaster, when I first tasted it more than 30 years ago.

I went in Guji village, from where the coffee you find in our range is coming from. It was a great emotion to touch the beans, to meet the people who work in the plantations and to taste the new crops.

Their work is very accurate and it comes with the tipical songs the womens are singing all day long; it is fascinating to listen their voices and the melodies let you feel part of an ancient culture.
